Strategic Planning and Execution

The 2025–2030 Strategic Plan aims to transform the Institute’s focus, internal structure, and overall performance to achieve continuous improvement. It reflects a collaborative effort involving administrators, faculty, staff, students, and community stakeholders. Multiple rounds of consultations were held with these groups to identify and refine the core elements of the plan. In 2025, key strategic areas were identified, with provisions for a comprehensive review every five years. A summary of the 2025–2030 Strategic Plan is presented below.

Strategic Objectives

  • Achieve accreditation from premier agencies such as NAAC with an ‘A’ Grade and NBA for a five-year term, along with obtaining permanent affiliation from the university.
  • Making teachers knowledgeable enough to train the students for academic, competitive, and placement examinations, following the Bloom’s Taxonomy.
  • Attain autonomous status from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Anna University.
  • Promote active faculty participation in workshops, seminars, faculty development programs (FDPs), and national/international conferences and short-term training programs.
  • Collaborate with industries to understand current trends and sign Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to foster industry-institute partnerships.
  • Strive for 100% placement of eligible students, with a focus on core domain opportunities.
  • Establish an in-house training center to prepare students for national-level entrance examinations such as GATE, CAT, and others.
  • Set up Centers of Excellence in emerging and allied areas of technology across various departments.
  • Create a dedicated Research and Development (R&D) Centre to promote core and interdisciplinary research involving faculty from multiple departments.
  • Offer certification courses in each department to enhance students’ technical and practical skill sets.
  • Introduce postgraduate programs aligned with societal needs and industry requirements.
  • Actively participate in government and elite agency proposal calls to secure research and development funding.
  • Enhance the library’s collection with high-quality research publications and e-resources.
  • Provide high-speed broadband wireless internet access across the entire campus.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, FDPs, and national/international conferences in identified thrust areas.
  • Establish a robust alumni engagement system to gather feedback for curriculum development based on current market trends.
  • Participate in community outreach programs such as Swachh Bharat, Green Campus (tree plantation drives), digital literacy campaigns, blood donation camps, and other government initiatives through NSS, NCC, and similar platforms.
