The National Cadet Corps cadets actively participate in different community service activities. The students are encouraged to join in NCC from first year onwards. The selection process is done by NCC unit. Rigorous training has been provided throughout the year and successful students are selected for national level programs such Republic day parade
The NSS Unit of Madha Engineering College actively engages in a variety of community service initiatives and regularly conducts programs to showcase its commitment to social welfare.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) aims to instill a spirit of social responsibility and service among students, encouraging them to contribute to society without any form of bias or discrimination. NSS volunteers work towards uplifting the underprivileged by supporting efforts to improve their quality of life and ensuring they live with dignity.
Through their engagement, volunteers gain valuable life lessons from rural communities, learning how to live meaningfully even with limited resources. NSS also plays a vital role during natural and human-made disasters by extending timely support through the distribution of food, clothing, and first aid.
The NSS operates with the guiding principle of “Service to Society.” Our institution also shares this vision, having been established with the objective of delivering quality education to the semi-urban population around MEC. Through NSS, the youth of our nation are empowered to make significant contributions to society.
A One-Day Free Community Health Checkup Camp was organized by the NSS Unit of Madha Engineering College, in collaboration with Madha Medical College and Research Institute, Rotary Club of Chennai Sun City, and Madha Super Specialty Hospital on March 19, 2025. The event aimed to promote health awareness and facilitate early disease detection.
Nearly 600 people participated in the health checkup and benefited from the services provided.
On behalf of the NSS Unit of Madha Engineering College, an Adolescent Awareness Program for female students was organized on Wednesday, 09th April 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. The program was conducted in collaboration with Madha Super Speciality Hospital, Madha Medical College and Research Institute, Rotary Club of Chennai Sun City, The Obstetric & Gynaecological Society of Southern India, and Ilamai Mudhal Mudumai Varai, Chennai.
Female students and staff members from both Madha Engineering College and Madha Nursing College actively participated in the session.
The speakers delivered insightful lectures and provided valuable counseling on health and hygiene. NSS volunteers played a key role in organizing and managing the event.
A voluntary blood donation camp was organized by the NSS Unit on Tuesday, 08th April 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in association with Madha Super Speciality Hospital, Madha Medical College and Research Institute, and the Rotary Club of Chennai Sun City.
Students and staff members actively participated and generously donated over 25 units of blood. All donors were awarded certificates in recognition of their contribution. NSS volunteers efficiently coordinated and managed the event.
A Free Anemia Health Checkup Camp for female students was organized on Wednesday, 09th April 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The event was conducted in collaboration with Madha Super Speciality Hospital, Madha Medical College and Research Institute, Rotary Club of Chennai Sun City, The Obstetric & Gynaecological Society of Southern India, and Ilamai Mudhal Mudumai Varai, Chennai.
Female students and staff members actively participated in the camp and availed the health screening services. NSS volunteers from Madha Engineering College played an active role in coordinating and managing the event.
An intelligent mind needs a quick and agile body, and that can only be achieved when there is a proper balance of academic training and physical activities .While the thrust is on knowledge and enhancement of learning, the institute built up a wealth of opportunities for sports, indoor games and other physical activities. Youth Red Cross, volunteers are actively involving in Social activities. Youth Red Cross helps the students to inculcate discipline in them and to understand their responsibilities towards their countrymen, especially the poor and downtrodden.
Youth Red Cross is to inculcate in the Youth of our country awareness on the care of their own health and that of others the understanding and acceptance of civic responsibilities and acting accordingly with humanitarian concern, to fulfil the same to enable the growth and development.
